Your travel options are as follows.

By Air there are no direct flights to Ithaka, but there are charter flights from April until October to airports on Kefalonia and at Preveza from nearly all European countries including the UK.

Ithaca can be reached in about:

• 2 hours from Kefalonia Airport and
• About 6 hours from Preveza Airport (located on the mainland nearby).

In addition, there are regular flights from Athens to Kefalonia Airport.

• From Kefalonia Airport you would drive to Sami and take the ferry boat to Ithaca (see below).
• From Preveza Airport you would drive to either Astakos, Nidri or Vasiliki and take the ferry boat to Ithaca(see below).

Cars can be hired from a number of agencies located at Preveza and Kefalonia airports and on Ithaka.

By Ferry Boat Ithaka can be reached in numerous ways by ferry boat:

• In 30 minutes by ferry from Sami (Kefalonia) to Pisaetos (Ithaca)
• In 40 minutes by ferry from Fiskardo (Kefalonia) to Pisaetos (Ithaca)
• In 1 hour and 15 minutes by ferry from Vasiliki (Lefkada) to Frikes (Ithaca)
• In 1 hour and 45 minutes by ferry from Nidri (Lefkada) to Frikes (Ithaca)
• In 2 hours from Astakos (Mainland) to Pisaetos (Ithaca)
• In 3 hours and 30 minutes from Patras (Mainland) to Pisaetos (Ithaka)
